Wooden Bowls (Literature)
The story of the wooden bowls shows there's a certain responsibility evey child should take on for their parents when they grow up. For instance as a kid the son had to be taken care of from the grandfather, obviously he had done a good job, since the son has a family and house. That had been the grandfathers responsibility which he had fulfilled, but as a son not just to do in return but, because he should care for his dad who had brought him up, the son should look out and support his dad. During the story the son had not only failed to realize his responsibity, but had failed to provide the grandson with a good example. He failed to show his son how to fulfill his responsibility. The story overall teaches an important life lesson, you should fulfill your responsibility for taking care and looking after your parents when you grow up. When you were a baby and dropped food or made a mess your parents didn't ignore it, then isolate you from them, and get upset, they helped you. This story could also relate to showing empathy, the daughter in law failed to see how making the grandfather eat from wooden bowls and sitting away from the rest of the family was unfair.
